Kiefer Sutherland
In
2010, actor Kiefer Sutherland was lured into what seemed like a great a deal
with Michael Wayne Carr. Carr, who
was a cattle manager, was
supposed to use Sutherland’s finances to buy cattle in Mexico and sell them in
the US. The interesting thing about this scam is that Sutherland had previously
worked with Carr, in 2006, and everything went smoothly. But when Sutherland
gave Carr more than $869,000, the cattle manager decided to pocket the money
instead of investing it and he ended up getting arrested. Carr pled guilty for
grand theft larceny and forgery and had to pay back everything he owed.
