Filotimo (Greece)
In Greek, the word Filotimo means honor, dignity, prime virtue. Each person has the responsibility to always act in accordance with honor and righteousness and this will result in long-term happiness. Even if your own wealth, freedom, safety are at risk, you must still continue to live by this virtue and to aspire to reach a golden standard of morality. This word is unique to the Greek language and can be applied to individuals groups or the entire society.
