Avoid giving children any processed meat, including hot dogs, and try a fish-based alternative. According to the American Cancer Society, eating as little as 50 grams of processed meat daily can increase the risk of colorectal cancer by 18%, and possibly the risk of other cancers. A veggie burger or a fish burger can be a much healthier option.
