In 2017, the U.S. Department of Defense finally admitted that they had been running a special program focused on analyzing and investigating UFO sightings. According to reports released by the Pentagon, between 2007 and 2012, The Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, received more than $20 million. In 2004, two infrared videos were released to the public with two articles that documented an encounter between a UFO and some Navy fighter jets off the coast of California. One of the pilots who witnessed the mysterious sighting told the interviewer that he flew to a specified location after being asked by a radio operator to check out an unidentified aircraft. When he arrived at the location, he noticed that the seawater was churning as an oval-shaped white aircraft was hovering above. The pilot remembers seeing the aircraft accelerate like nothing he had ever seen before and that he was shocked. Unfortunately, despite his compelling story, there is little to no definitive proof of this mysterious sighting.
