The “Gotta Get Up” sequence, ‘Russian doll’
The anthem “Gotta Get Up” plays the first time Nadia dies, while she is greeted by Maxine. All seven deaths are accompanied by a loop of “Sweet birthday baby” and “Gotta Get Up,” until the point it becomes tiring and a little frightening. From falling down the stairs to being hit by a car, seems like Nadia becomes the human version of the Russian doll, unraveling layers after layers of truth about her.
