2. This kid gave up something he loved
This kid was taking a karate class in the fifth grade. One night he accidentally overheard his parents talking about financial difficulties and trying to figure out how to make more money to pay for the expensive karate class. He learned that they risked not being able to pay for electricity. The next day, he told them that he hates karate and wants to quit anyway, although he was really excited about getting the next belt color.
