Tommy Glenn Carmichael
For
over four decades, Tommy Glenn Carmichael spent his time cheating casinos.
Starting with the 1960s, Carmichael gave up his television repair shop and took
to the Las Vegas Strip where he spent his time scamming slot machines. In 1985
he went to prison for the first time and spent five years there. While in
prison, Carmichael came up with the monkey paw, a gadget that would help him
become more efficient when hacking slot machines. He went on to invent more
gadgets and even sold them to other cheaters which led to more stealing and
more arrests.
