Two of the women who were let go said that the executive mentioned that the Kings were heading towards a “more inclusive” direction. They would replace the three all-female teams with two co-ed hip-hop and street teams called 916 Crew and 209 Hype. Although the women were encouraged to go to the tryouts, they were not guaranteed a spot on these new teams.
